Johns Hopkins Medicine Deploys Abridge AI Platform for Clinical Documentation Across Enterprise
SAN FRANCISCO, CA—December 18, 2024—Abridge has finalized an agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine to implement Abridge’s ambient AI platform across its 6,700 clinicians, six hospitals, and 40 patient-care centers.
As part of Abridge’s platform, clinicians review AI-generated documentation before notes get integrated into the patient record. Abridge’s platform will now be deployed in all care settings and specialties at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to provide our clinicians with a tool to ease documentation burden,” said Dr. Manisha Loss, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Associate CMIO. “Abridge was created by clinicians to capture the patient story, and drafts notes in an authentic, clinical voice.”
Abridge supports clinical documentation in real-time using AI, reducing the burden and distraction of repetitive tasks for clinicians so they can focus on what really matters: caring for patients. This collaboration will integrate Abridge’s standard-setting AI clinical conversation technology into one of the leading academic healthcare centers in the world.
“Partnering with large, diverse academic healthcare systems like Johns Hopkins Medicine pushes us to innovate our market-leading AI platform to meet their complex needs,” said Dr. Shiv Rao, CEO and Founder of Abridge. “I am extremely gratified that Abridge has earned the trust of Johns Hopkins Medicine to deploy our technology across its many care settings and specialties.”
